These Swears are "Next Level." What Fashion Expert Liza Suloti Swears By

We visited our friend, Liza Suloti, at her NYC office where she is a partner and fashion/beauty publicist at SHADOW, an agency that helps build buzz on some of our favorite brands. As per usual, Liza’s hair was on point and her style impeccable, even while chasing after her two-year-old son, Thomas, who was visiting the office for the afternoon. How she has time for it all, while always wearing lipstick, we’ll never know. (I’m writing this while barefaced and in sweatpants.) When she’s not branding like a boss, Liza is an on-air fashion expert on nationally broadcast programs. A hazard of the job, Liza speaks in well-crafted, immensely quotable soundbites. But she’s not just a trusted expert when the cameras are rolling. She’s the honest, direct friend whom we trust to tell us if this beret makes our face look fat (because most do) or if we have kale in our teeth (because…lunch). Trust us, you’re gonna want to pull up a chair for Swears from our favorite publicist, mom, and fashion expert extraordinaire.

Moroccan Oil Luminous Hairspray

Disclosure, I rep Moroccanoil, but I was a fan long before we got the account. I’ve always been obsessed with their signature scent. It’s argan oil-infused, so it keeps my hair in place without drying it out or giving it that awful sticky hairspray texture. I use the medium spray because I think it’s easier to build, and I can keep reapplying.

Queen Margaret Leather Belt

This was a retail therapy purchase. I’m a big belt collector, and I love this as a statement piece. It’s totally me and totally not me at the same time because I usually like things that are a little more classic, but it’s so whimsical and fun and makes everyone smile, especially my son. I can add it to basic jeans and a t-shirt for an automatic upgrade.

S'well Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle

I was honestly astonished when I tried this for the first time. I can put hot coffee in it at 8 am and when I open it up at 3 pm steam still comes out. I fill it with milk for my son or bring it to the gym with ice water. The designs are so cute, there’s really one for everyone.

Colour Pop: I Think I Love You Pallette

This is one of those palettes that sells out really quickly, so when they told me they were launching it again I bought like five. The color payoff is next level. I love that it’s a mix of matte and metallic, with bronze undertones. I can tell you that yellow is, for sure, the new ‘millennial pink,’ and I like this one because it’s subtle, with hints of gold shimmer. Also, all of the tones work together but are distinctly different. I use every shade in this palette, and I don’t think I can say that for any other product. On top of all that, everything they make is vegan and super affordable!

Honest Baby Wipes

I never used wipes before I had a kid, because why would I? Manhattan is so dirty, so having these on the go for cab doors or subway turnstiles help me keep my peace of mind. I’m also always swatching and reapplying as a beauty marketing consultant, and these work for makeup as well. It’s nice to have a product I know I can use over and over again without having to worry about drying my skin because these are so gentle.

Apple AirPods

They are a total game changer. Double tap the pods and tell them what to do. When I’m at work, I can hook them up to my computer and Facetime, Skype or make calls with them. When I’m out on the street and carrying a million things, I’m not worried about a cord or anything. It’s so liberating being hands-free. They’re like technology earrings. I love them.
