Swears from “The CEO of Leisure,” Ashli Stockton

We’ve all been there. It’s 4PM on a Sunday and you’re doing everything you can to avoid thinking about what awaits you in the office on Monday morning. But what if the weekend never had to end? Our friend Ashli Stockton leads us to the promised land with Sunday Forever, her dreamlike brand where good vibes and self-care rule. As a brand for “nice things lovers and leisure enthusiasts,” the Sunday Forever office is a little sun-filled nirvana, full of elegant kimonos, pretty pastel crystals, and softly scented candles where Ashli and team create and ship their covetable trinkets. Our Monday blues were cured as soon as we walked in the door. Ashli’s Southern charm and adorable irreverence draw you in, and then – POW! – she hits you with her signature sass and smarts, befitting the “CEO of Leisure”. Exhibit A) The advice she gave SwearBy founder Kate on starting a brand: “It’s not going to be easy. It’s probably going to stress you the fuck out, and if it doesn’t, it means you aren’t doing it right.” Good thing we have our Sunday Forever candles and crystals to help us calm the eff down. Here are 5 tasteful, soothing Swears from our friend Ashli:

Fujifilm QuickSnap Flash 400 Disposable 35mm Camera

We wanted to shoot film for our Fall campaign, and we bought a case of these disposable cameras off Amazon and gave them to everybody on set for behind-the-scenes shots. It was fun because you didn’t know what you were going to get. It’s nostalgic…a different way of looking at images. When you get them developed, you get a CD with the prints so it makes it very digital and social-media friendly. I keep one of these in my bag at all times to snap things that inspire me. Sometimes I pull out the disposable and people look at me like I’m crazy.

Heritage Store Rosewater Spray with Atomize: Flower Essence Homeopathic Remedies

Live for it. Live for it. Live for it. I do subscribe and save for this one at Amazon because I get it so frequently. My skin is sensitive and this is a calming, natural spray that helps reduce redness. I spray it on, almost like a toner, after I wash my face and before I put on moisturizer. I get the one without glycerin because it can clog my pores. It’s super gentle, calming, and smells great. And so inexpensive! You can also use it like a makeup setting spray. If you don’t want a super matte look, spray it on and it makes you look dewy.

Sage and Lighter Set

I learned about sage a million years ago and started using it as a little ritual and as part of a meditation practice. Sage gets rid of negative energy in the room. Just open a window, light the sage, and let it smoke. Bring it to every corner of the room and then watch as the smoke that’s carrying the negative energy goes out of the window. This is one of my best-sellers.

The Way She Wears It: The Ultimate Insider's Guide to Revealing Your Personal Style

Disclaimer, Dallas is my best friend. But I truly love this book; it’s so beautiful. It’s all about helping you find your personal style, mixed with practical style tips like how to mix and match prints or what to pack for a trip. All of the illustrations are done by hand, which is wild. There are so many pieces of inspiration inside, and even if I’ve looked at it 100 times, I always find something new. It’s like eye candy.

Plantastic™ Micropeeling Super Drops

Beauty Pie is so cool. Marcia Kilgore, the founder of Bliss and Soap & Glory, has launched a new concept where she works with the top manufacturers who make luxury cosmetics, but you get them at the manufacturer’s cost when you are a member. It’s like $7-something [Member pricing] for a $60 product at retail, and her stuff is really, really good. This gentle exfoliating serum is perfect for my sensitive skin. It gently exfoliates and then you put your moisturizer right over it.

We think you deserve to buy only awesome things. We've asked the most discerning women out there to share what they honestly, truly swear by so you can get on with life and find your next favorite product, faster (and without all the sponsored BS).
