Swears for Surviving the "Isn't It Spring!?" Cold Snap

Spring may officially start soon, but that doesn't seem to stop the cold. This has been one of the coldest and snowiest winters on record where I am, with record-breaking snowfall and cold snaps that have dropped us down well below zero. It's made me feel like a total icicle, and staying warm AND fashionable has been a real challenge. Today, I wanted to share some of the best swears for battling the encroaching cold this winter...and maybe spring.

Diptyque Paris Baies Candle

Nothing makes my house feel cozier than burning a candle. This one has a light, springy scent that keeps my mood up, even as the weather stays cold. It fills my whole house with a delicious floral scent and one candle lasts for weeks and weeks!

Ouai Scalp & Body Scrub

This has been my go-to for Sunday hair washing! It removes every possible shred of product from my hair. It’s fantastic if you want your hair (or skin!) to feel 1000% clean and ready for a new week, a big date, or just needing to feel relaxed. Feeling the dry-skin flakies? Not anymore.

Eddie Bauer Oversized Down Throw

This blanket is THE coziest. Living through winters in NY, Minnesota, and now Montana, we know about some winter. This is the best. It’s bigger than other throws and has a waterproof polyester side, and a fleecy side with the down filling. If you are constantly cold (me!) this will solve that in a jiffy.

Davids Tea Organic Mother's Little Helper Tea

This tea is the solution to sleepless nights. Curled up on the couch with a cup of tea? It’s relaxing, and sets me up for a great night’s sleep, every time. When I’m feeling stressed, a cup of this just melts away tension and lets me get some well-needed rest, while also warming my soul from the inside out.

Bite Beauty Agave Sugar Lip Scrub

Winter has wreaked havoc on my poor dry lips, and balm was not enough. This takes off all my sad little flakies and makes my lips feel smooth. I use this about once a week during the extra dry times.

Yoga With Adriene

When it’s -26F outside, I don’t really want to go to the gym. I know I’ll feel better if I exercise, but sometimes it’s just too much to ask. The solution? Work out at home, of course! If you’re looking for the BEST at home workouts, Yoga with Adrienne is perfect! There are lots of interesting series that she does, and also challenges to keep everyone, even the not-so-enthusiastic, motivated.

At my heart, I'm an educator. During the day, I'm educating teenagers in how to do basic chemistry. At night and on the weekends, I'm educating followers of my blog, EverydayCait in how to upgrade your life and work towards your goals. A little extra time in the week? I'm picking up web design jobs. A girl has to hustle, right? Along the way, I'm constantly sharing the things that make my life better, and I hope they'll make yours better too.
