10 Products for Pride That Give Back to the LGBTQ Community
Whether you're an ally or community member, there is a multitude of ways to show your LGBTQ pride. One is through your cold hard cash. During Pride Month (that's right now, by the way), it can seem like every brand, corporation, and LLC has covered everything in rainbows. Sure, that's great. But what matters most is that the money you spend in June is actually going to help the community or is being placed in the hands of LGBTQ-owned brands.
To make things a bit easier on you this year, Swearby has rounded up 10 Pride products to shop from brands donating part of the proceeds to organizations that support the LGBTQ community.
Vinebox The Pride Set
Wine lovers can celebrate Pride with this curated set of individual wines from Vinebox. Not only will you get to toast to the LGBTQ community and try a few new wines, but 100% of profits from the first 500 sold will be donated to the San Fransisco LGBT Center which helps support LGBTQ individuals in the city through a network of diverse resources.
Good Light Pride Bundle
Good Light, the brand launched from the beauty site A Very Good Light, has curated a special Pride bundle of products including items from the brand itself, hair care from Function of Beauty, makeup from Tower28, and more. While scoring these products is amazing, the best part is that 100% of proceeds from the bundle will be donated to True Colors United, an organization working to end homelessness among LGBTQ youth.
Missoma Short Beaded Gemstone Necklace
Missoma has launched a gorgeous collection of gemstone-based beaded accessories that are perfect for summer with their bright hues. But the brand is also using the pieces to celebrate Pride and support the LGBTQ community. Half of the proceeds from sales of the necklace will go to It Gets Better Project which works to help LGBTQ youth pursue their goals, and regardless of proceeds, the brand will donate a minimum of $10,000 to the charity.
Sigma Be-YOU-tiful Pride Brush Set
Sigma Beauty makes some of the best brushes around, and with three eye brushes in this kit, you’ll be able to create nearly any look. With its holographic, rainbow packaging, it’ll look great on your vanity as well. Of course, the most important part, though, is that 50% of proceeds will go to the It Gets Better Project.
ManiMe JVN x Mei Can You Believe Manicure Set
The ManiMe JVNx Mei collection has a multitude of Pride-themed options to choose from. Not only are they easy to apply, but they look ultra-natural. Plus, as part of the collaboration, part of the proceeds will go to the Trevor Project which helps provide crisis and suicide prevention to LGBTQ people.
UGG Disco Stripe Slide
Everyone loves UGG’s fluffy slides, and for Pride, they got a fun makeover. You can choose between a rainbow version or this pink, white, and blue option to support the trans community. For every pair purchased, UGG is donating $25 with up to a $125,000 total donation to GLAAD which helps to amplify the voices of the LGBTQ community in media.
Fluide Otherworldly Pride Collection
Fluide’s Otherworldly Pride Collection is all about self-expression, and to help people do so, it includes an otherworldly t-shirt, an 8-pan eyeshadow palette, a universal gloss, and face gems. 10% of proceeds from the collection will go to mutual aid platform For Our Sibs which helps support Black Trans, Non-Binary, Gender Non-Conforming, 2S, and Intersex people.
Boy Smells Pride Rosalita Candle
Cult-favorite and LGBTQ-owned candle brand Boy Smells launched a range of Pride-themed candles in each color of the rainbow. Buy them all or choose your favorite. Regardless of what you opt for, though, the brand will donate 10% of all Boy Smells’ sales prices (with a minimum $100,000 donation) to the Trevor Project.
Levi's Pride Liberation Roadtrip T-Shirt
As part of its Pride celebration, Levi’s launched the All Pronouns, All Love collection which includes t-shirts, underwear, and of course, denim. The brand will be donating 100 percent of the net proceeds to OutRight Action International which helps to advance LGBTQ rights globally.
Limited Edition Bliss Makeup Melt Wipes
Bliss’ Makeup Melt Wipes got a fun Pride makeover, but that’s not the best part of the new limited-edition look. 100% of the remover’s proceeds will go to the Trevor Project throughout the month of June.
