Last-Minute Holiday Gifts for Your Best Friend

Here's a collection of things for your clever and witty best friend, whose style is effortless but totally refined—and who also happens to be an aesthete.

Necklace VI

Brvtvs is a jewelry brand by my friend Caroline Ventura. She crafts each piece by hand. They’re designed with a clean and minimal aesthetic and I wear her stuff all the time. Her delicate bar earrings are my favorite and I really need this delicate and stunning necklace to go with them.

Diptyque Baies Candle

Smells and looks like heaven.

The Dots Coat Hooks Set

These are so so pretty and useful too. I love all of the colors but think natural is a nice nod to Scandinavian minimalist aesthetic.

This Is Mexico City by Abby Clawson Low

This gorgeous book is by my talented friend Abby Low. She’s the most incredible designer and has the best aesthetic. She lived in Mexico city and did every aspect of this guide. It will make you want to go there immediately but is also just super stunning to have on your coffee table to peruse.

NARS Audacious Lipstick

Perfect nude!

Well…because I worked really hard on it and lots and lots of people have told me it’s a great gift book. It’s perfect for the bibliophile and art lover. I hand lettered quotes from these beloved literary heroine’s thoughts and dialogue and painted each one with just the right amount of ennui.

Pure Skin: Discover the Japanese Ritual of Glowing: Victoria Tsai, illustrated by Samantha Hahn

I loved illustrating this gem. Tatcha founder Vicky Tsai is sharing the best beauty wisdom. It’s definitely worth reading to find out your skin care personality and ingredients to believe in. I hope you enjoy my watercolor illustrations!

A Mother Is a Story: A Celebration of Motherhood: Samantha Hahn

I started this book when I was pregnant with my daughter and finished it when she was about 6 months old. I hand picked the best quotes that range from funny to poignant from a variety of notable authors, actors etc. Each illustration and lettered quote was painted with love. I hope it speaks to you, new mamas or seasoned pros.

The Eye by Nathan Williams

This is such a great resource for artists, creative and art directors and designers. I love reading the stories of fashion designers and editorial directors. It’s great to hear how they developed their own voice and how they communicate visual ideas.
