Kitchen Upgrades You'll Swear By Too

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. My mom was a professional chef, and I grew up chopping, mixing, and braising with her. Now that I'm on my own and starting to cook for my own little family, having quality tools has made all of the difference. Whether it's picking up the world's best French Press or the nicest tart pans, these swears are things I use all the time and help me step up my game!

Wilton Perfect Results 9-inch Tart Pan

I love creating a beautiful, photogenic quiche or fruit-topped tart, and this pan makes it truly easy. The bottom lifts out, and the whole thing is non-stick, creating a beautiful dessert that everyone will ooh and aah over. It doesn’t take a pastry chef to create a really gorgeous show piece! I have three of these, and they are the best pie/tart pans I’ve ever used!

KitchenAid Mixer

I didn’t think I needed one. I had a handheld mixer, and it never let me down! I bake multiple times a week, and got by just fine! Then I received one as a lovely gift and I haven’t looked back. It kneads bread, whips up meringues, creams, butter, and sugar in no time flat. Since adding this to the house, I can have a dozen cookies in the oven in about five minutes. Crazy!

Bodum French Press

There’s just two of us, so making a full pot of coffee is unneccessary and wasteful on something like a quiet Saturday morning in. I love our French Press for making just enough for one or two. Bodum makes the most durable and beautiful presses, and they are by far worth the extra money over a cheaper one.

Uncommon Goods Personalized Cutting Board

We received this gorgeous cutting board for Christmas. It is beautiful. The type is beautifully laser cut, and the cutting board is made of thick, smooth maple. Ours is customized with our new last name (getting married in 8 months!) and is truly special. This would be a beautiful gift for a wedding or housewarming.

At my heart, I'm educator. During the day, I'm educating teenagers in how to do basic chemistry. At night and on the weekends, I'm educating followers of my blog, EverydayCait in how to upgrade your life and work towards your goals. A little extra time in the week? I'm picking up web design jobs. A girl has to hustle, right? Along the way, I'm constantly sharing the things that make my life better, and I hope they'll make yours better too.
