By Women, For Women - Female Founded Brands We SwearBy

According to the Female Founder Collective, 82% of women are more likely to purchase from women-owned businesses, if they only knew who they were. As a female-founded business that's powered by (and in service of!) smart, discerning women, we compiled our community's top Swears from female-founded businesses, in honor of International Women’s Day (March 8th). Consider this round-up as a little "tip of the cap" to the women in our lives -- the friends, moms, co-workers, and superstar women who are total #girlboss goals -- to make it easy to find amazing products that are worthwhile investments by women, for women.

Moon Juice Full Moon Sachets

SwearBy Editors rave about Moon Juice, the organic supplement line from Amanda Chanta Bacon. These Moon Dust Sachets are adaptogen powders you can take on the go and incorporate into “your everyday diet,” says Carolina Poli. Follow Kimberly St. Aubin‘s lead and mix one of these into your iced coffee for natural energy that keeps “caffeine jitters” at bay. Michele Falcone recommends this variety pack so you can “mix more than one type of dust.” Her favorite combos are Power and Spirit for focus and relaxation and Spirit and Beauty for unwinding in the evenings.

Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40

At SwearBy, our mantra is: eat, sleep, SPF, repeat. This cult-fave sunscreen from Supergoop! is nothing like the bland stuff that leaves a white cast over the skin. We’re eternally grateful to Supergoop! founder and SwearBy Editor Holly Thaggard for creating a truly “Unseen” sunscreen that, according to Shannon Bauer, “sits well under makeup,” and that Allison McNamara Swears “isn’t chalky.” Arius Reynoso Swears “it’s extremely smooth and leaves me feeling super protected and hydrated.” Gabreila Zago said it best: it’s “just perfect!”

Sarah Epler Swears: “I love the way this smells and that it keeps me feeling extra clean. My husband even likes it for working out.” You can also check out Megababe’s Thigh Rescue, an Anti-Chafe Stick for your inner thighs. “Both smell great and I love supporting female-owned businesses.” Us too, Sarah, us too.

Pepper Limitless Wirefree Bra

To further the boob theme, the female co-founders of Pepper are on a mission “to design products for women with small busts.” Editor Angie Tong writes “I am a big fan of wireless bras and this bra does not disappoint!” This sleek black bralette is “so comfortable and very stylish,” perfect for all of the small chested ladies out there.

Fenty Beauty Match Stix: Shimmer Skinstick

Since its launch in 2017, Rihanna’s cosmetics line Fenty Beauty has made its mark as “a brand that recognizes, and celebrates, diversity and inclusion along with quality products.” These Match Stix are “a milti-purpose color stick” that Krisha Cabrera promises can be used as “highlight, blush, eyeshadow, bronzer, or even lippies!” These cream colors will have you believing the highlighter hype. Editor Deidra O’Brien loves this product’s beautiful sheen and innovative packaging that allows multiple sticks to “cling together for easy travel and organization.” Oh “Rhi-Rhi, you truly are a goddess.”

Mantraband Fearless Ring Necklace

Mantraband jewelry is a brand that will “keep you spreading and thinking those positive vibes.” SwearBy Editor Bianca D’Agostino recommends this piece as “an amazing gift” because it can be worn as “a ring AND a necklace” with the included chain. This “gorgeous, simple, unique ring” is “super empowering not only for the beautiful message etched [inside the band]…but it’s also a female-owned company!” The line has a range of message options that are all encouraging and powerful.

Ouai Leave In Conditioner

This leave-in conditioner “is true celebrity haircare!” Ouai’s “total boss” founder Jen Atkin uses this product “on stars like Katy Perry and Khloe Kardashian,” Swears Caitlin Kimmet. She gushes that not only does this stuff work “like magic” for a perfect hair day, it smells “like you’re sitting on a beautiful beach in Australia, surrounded by flowers.” Editor Belinda Clarke says “it never dries crunchy and leaves…moderately curly hair in perfect shape.”

It’s comfortable to wear while exercising…[and] under my regular clothes that I wear before working out.”

“Literally Me” is a collection of darkly comic essays about living in the age of social media. Author Julie Houts has been deemed “Instagram’s favorite illustrator” by Vogue for her creative images and wry, tell-it-like-it-is style of humor. Sunday Forever kimonos are so cozy-yet-glam that Christina Sirinyan has two “in case one is in the wash!” Erin Matts says that she would “wear it outside” if she could. Huge props to Sunday Forever CEO and SwearBy Founding Editor Ashli Stockton who has created “the perfect thing to wear around the house or out and about” for a luxe leisure look. For a company committed to changing the lives of women, look no further than DuHope. These beautiful necklaces are handcrafted by Rwandan women exiting street work, and “are as cute as they are purposeful,” says Ashley Pipe. The hand-stamped leaf design represents how DuHope encourages the women they work with to turn over a new leaf in their lives. The company explains their mission in this way: “These women have been abused, abandoned, and a slave to poverty. DuHope creates a safe and holistic way to walk alongside them in faith, hope, love, and dignity.”

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum

“Drunk Elephant is a great brand and I love their ingredients and the philosophy behind it. But I love this product because my skin loves it,” Swears Rumana Rafeek. This nighttime serum “is the most effective serum I’ve used” and a “fantastic heavy hitter for both aging skin and those suffering from acne or clogged pores,” says pro makeup artist Emily Manatan.
