Gifts For The Fashion Girl

Does anyone else set out to go holiday shopping for others, only for it to turn into a game of “one for you, one for me”? It can be dangerous. But so understandable, given that there’s a lot to be excited about in fashion this season! For example, if you like the look of fur but feel like it’s not for you, there is a universe of options in this category to have fun with. I’m also really excited about luggage. Luggage is getting chicer and more affordable and gives us all a reason to plan a getaway --- something I’ve started to daydream about this week with the icy-cold temperatures in New York. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite fashionable finds from the SwearBy community to hopefully inspire you as you think about gifts for the fashion girl in your life (even if that girl is you!). All these picks reflect an attitude towards fashion that is classic, fun and practical, and they’re all items that I would be thrilled to receive personally --- hint, hint to any blood relatives reading this post! Happy Holidays! Xo Brooke

Zara Faux Fur Coat

I love the options in faux fur right now. Zara continues to offer some amazing options in both classic and more fashion forward styles. This black one is a no brainer. I like the length because you can wear with skirts and dresses as well as jeans. They are extremely warm and the best part is you can wear a glam look and not worry your going to ruin an actual fur coat!

Anine Bing Justine Cardigan

You need this sweater. The animal print, the gorgeous red tone, the old-school oversized grunge vibe...a cardigan not for the sweater set crowd. I wear it with ripped jeans and Saint Laurent kitten heel pumps. Insta effortless chic.

Ray-Ban Round Double Bridge Sunglasses

I've always had classic Ray-Ban's whether it be Wayfarers or Aviators, but I thought it was time to try something new and different. I wear these glasses all the time. I never thought I would like the look of round sunglasses on myself, but I love these. They add an extra detail to my whole outfit I am wearing. Oh, and the blue lenses match with everything!

Apple Watch with Sport Band

Everyone knows Apple has amazing products. Imagine having features of those products wrapped around your wrist? The Apple Watch can do almost anything you want it to do, and you will never want to leave your house without it.

Away Bigger Carry-On Suitcase

It fits just the right amount of clothes for about 5 days (using the clothing roll up method). Its very light (not clunky and heavy like my old carry on). I have it in hunter green with my initials painted on it - fun fact, they are all hand painted by a woman. And the best part is, it comes with a portable battery charger. MAJOR travel plus. Because I swear by my cell phone and this charges my phone, by transitive property I swear by this too!!!

Ashleigh Bergman Large Hoop Earrings

This hoop is beyond easy to wear from day into night and is so perfect if you don't want to have to overthink your accessories. I have worn this dressed up with heels, and always throw them in my suitcase for beach vacations.

Nili Lotan | Black Silk Charmeuse Knee-Length Short Cami Dress

The perfect little black dress.

J. Crew Sherpa-lined Chelsea Boots

This Sherpa lining makes these extra cozy for winter, but it appears thin enough that you can wear all day without melting. In other words, work-appropriate UGGS.

Stutterheim Stockholm Raincoat in White

I swear by my Stutterheim Stockholm raincoat in white as it is arguably the most chic raincoat out there. It is such a Swedish classic -- and those Swedes know a thing or two about design and minimalism. I was fortunate to live in Stockholm for three months back in 2015 and I fell in love with this raincoat and decided it would be one of several souvenirs I brought back to the states. I love its simplicity and its functionality. The white color is hard to find but you can't really go wrong with any of them.
