Face Masks That Will Leave You Glowing

Glass of pinot? Check. Netflix queued up? Check. The only thing missing from your #treatyoself self-care night: a face-mask that will leave you as glowy as a post-performance J. Lo. But look no further — we got you. Whether you need to eradicate pimples (threat level: middle school) or just add a little radiance to your daily look, here are our go-to beautifying face masks — recommended by people without any skin in the game, the glamorous SwearBy community.

Fresh Rose Face Mask

“I’ve only been using this face mask for two days and I am already in LOVE! I’ve seen a major difference in my complexion — it’s more even — and my skin is overall more radiant and hydrated. I use this face mask once a day before bed, as a part of my night routine, and I go to sleep feeling so refreshing and squeaky clean! I don’t usually spend more than $30 on skincare products, but I would highly consider dropping $62 on this face mask after using it. Thanks SwearBy!”—Naydeline Mejia

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay

Ok, so it seriously is a secret; if it weren’t, everyone would use this stuff. The secret is that it detoxifies as it dries. It’s also *super* inexpensive. Most “detoxifying” skincare products contain bentonite clay and just repackage it and charge more for it. This stuff if pure bentonite clay. I also use it to pull toxins from insect bites.”—Jennifer Diffley

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask

“I use a sleep mask every single night. I just love a product that does the work when I am sleeping (talk about lazy beauty)! I noticed an immediate difference when I started using this mask. It has a thin gel-like texture that is fun to apply. This mask gives me instant hydration and I wake up with plump and bright skin. *Bonus – Smells like watermelon jolly ranchers”—Jessica Germann

GlamGlow SuperMud Face Mask

“Anytime I start to get a breakout or cystic acne, this mask is my go-to. I love to spot treat with this product. I’ll apply it to problem areas until it dries, then wash it off and see immediate results. Sometimes if the breakout is really bad, I’ll leave the treatment on the spot overnight. Definitely worth the price.”—Chelsea Broughton

Goop Exfoliating Instant Facial

It’s challenging to determine what makes this better — the fact that it’s formulated with USDA-certified organic ingredients or the deliciously tingling feeling during use — but the results are incomparable to any of exfoliator or mask I’ve ever used. The bright, rosy glow from hydroxy acids is not at the expense of your skin’s hydration, thanks to soothing B5 vitamins. Per GP’s recommendation — and who can deny Gwyneth’s sage beauty advice — use it daily. It’s the best 15 minutes you will spend before bedtime.”—Christine Morrison

Herbivore Botanicals Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask

Acid Peels. I LOVE THEM. So trust me, when I say this is the best that I’ve found for my dry, mid-thirties skin. Gentle enough to use a few times a week, but strong enough to provide a real instant glow. Not to mention – this jar will last FOREVER. This is now a ride-or-die in my skincare kit.”—Beth Beauchamp

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask

I know this is supposed to be a mask but I have actually been skipping the rinse-off step and using it as a moisturizer… and have been getting tons of compliments on my glowing skin from good friends and random people alike. It’s slightly sticky but fully absorbs in minutes. This is the only recent addition to my skincare regime so I’m giving it the credit I think it deserves!”—Christina Sirinyan

Kiehl’s Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Mask

“This mask proved its indelible power following a ski trip — incredible hydration as it soothes skin, and smells phenomenal. Washes off with ease so no skin tugging.” — Christine Morrison

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Face Mask

“I LOVE this face mask for so many reasons. If you have dry skin like me then girl, run and go get this. It’s a 3-in-1 product… let me explain. 1. All over face mask: Apply to your face a thick layer of this mask, let it sit for 10-15 minutes and wipe off with a warm towel. Your face will feel so soft and moisturized! 2. Under-eye mask: I have serrrious under-eye insecurities. Somehow this mask makes them 10x times better though. Add a thick layer under your eyes and let sit, afterward use a oil to massage under the eyes and you will feel like another person. 3. Makeup Primer: If you have dry skin you probably love using hydrating primers. This mask acts as a primer too! Apply a very thin layer before your makeup and foundation will glide on. Be cautious though, if you apply a thick layer it will start to exfoliate your skin and you don’t want that happening under makeup. Pinky promise, I love this product <3 xxoo Sarah”—Sarah Gross
