Beat Dry Winter Skin with Five Little Swears
It's winter in the midwest, and my skin has been screaming since October. Around here, the biting wind and the cold rushes in. This becomes the reality until sometimes May. My skin is usually normal-to-dry but becomes Sahara dry for almost six months of the year when winter rears its head. This year, instead of spending this time looking for houses in places where winter doesn't exist, I've perfected the tools that I need to have the skin I've always wanted.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
I love love love slapping this on at night and waking up with delightfully smooth lips. This also smells just like strawberries! I have two, one in my purse for cold days, and another by my bed for nighttime.
Drunk Elelphant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial
The first time I tried this out, I was afraid. I put it on, and it immediately started to burn. I had read online that this could happen, so I powered through for the full twenty minutes, and sure enough, the tingling feeling stopped after a few minutes. At the end of the 20 minutes, I rinsed it off and my skin really was baby-like. My fiance even noticed. My skin is noticeably smoother and less textured after I use this, but I could only use it once per week at the most because of the harsh nature of the acids.
Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil
I’m getting married in a few months and wanted to have intensely radiant skin to give my makeup artist the best chance at making me look great. Over the past six weeks, this has totally resurfaced my skin. The texture is better, and the tone is more even. I wear this every night and it has made ALL the difference!
Foreo LUNA Fofo
I got this in a subscription box a few months ago and didn’t think I’d enjoy it. I haven’t had much luck with some of Foreo’s other products, including the Issa toothbrush, or the Clarisonic. This has been kind of a gamechanger. My skin has cleared up and the texture is notably better! I can’t see myself stopping using this anytime soon!
Agave Sugar Lip Scrub - Bite Beauty
Winter has wreaked havoc on my poor dry lips, and balm was not enough. This takes off all my sad little flakies and makes my lips feel smooth. I use this about once a week during the dry times.
At my heart, I'm educator. During the day, I'm educating teenagers in how to do basic chemistry. At night and on the weekends, I'm educating followers of my blog, EverydayCait in how to upgrade your life and work towards your goals. A little extra time in the week? I'm picking up web design jobs. A girl has to hustle, right? Along the way, I'm constantly sharing the things that make my life better, and I hope they'll make yours better too.
