Antioxidant AM Skincare for the Wrinkle-Averse
CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser
It might not be fancy, but I keep coming back to this cleanser. It's affordable, irritant-free, and removes all makeup on the first wash, even waterproof mascara. It also never leaves my skin feeling tight or dry. A drugstore staple I purchase over and over.
Drunk Elephant C-Firma™ Day Serum
I love following up my cleanser with C-Firma serum every day. It is a staple in my morning routine and has helped my skin tone become more even and bright. It also makes my skin feel super smooth. This always goes on right before my moisturizer and sunscreen for a boost of antioxidant protection. The airless pump also keeps the vitamin C in the formula stable.
Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream
This fast-absorbing moisturizer is perfect for oily/combination skin and a wonder for sensitive skin types. It's packed with skin-signaling peptides that reduce wrinkles, tighten and moisturize and non-irritating plant oils to replenish skin. What I also love about Drunk Elephant in general, is you can mix and layer their products easily to create a custom routine to suit your skin's ever-changing needs. Gentle, effective, and moisturizing without being greasy. Also perfect to use after laser procedures since it's nurturing and anti-irritating.
BFF SPF 50
I love love LOVE this sunscreen. It's fragrance-free, has blurring pigments in it, and doubles as an incredible makeup primer. Though I find this has enough blurring power to skip foundation most days, it helps makeup stay all day and apply more evenly. Spf 50 makes sure my fair skin is protected, and the airless pump keeps the product stable. It has a silicone base so it's good for sensitive, oily and combination skin types.
From behind the chair to now creating hair care products for a color brand, the beauty industry has been my home for over 10 years. Skin care is my first love, hair care is my mistress. My mother bought me Paula Begoun's Beauty Bible when I was a little girl, and it was love at page one. I've written content for dermatologists and have been cited in publications like Byrdie and Town and Country for both makeup and hair. Aside from beauty, I dabble in weightlifting and like learning about nutrition and healthy living. When I'm not working too much or in the gym, you can find me listening to podcasts with my husband or mastering the art of Hygge.
