10 May 2020 Beauty Product Launches You Should *Add to Cart*

Times are weird, friends, and this has certainly affected our daily beauty routines. Maybe it's been a while since a makeup brush has touched your face or you've gone too many days where your morning skincare regimen has been pushed to the afternoon. That's OK! You are not alone. But there's something super uplifting about slathering on a hydrating face mask or swiping on a bright lipstick. It might seem rather minuscule in the grand scheme of things, especially with everything going on in the world, but these small beauty gestures are what the internet likes to call self-care, and I for one, agree.

If you are looking to boost your mood a bit with some new makeup, skincare, and hair goodies, look no further than this month's latest beauty launches. I promise you'll find at least one (or three) things that'll brighten your day.

Infused Face Serum

Diptyque’s candles are so celebrated and sought after, they may have distracted you from the fact that the brand makes skincare that’s just as good (if not better). The French perfume house recently launched The Beauty Shelfie collection, a line of beautiful products for your face, body, and hands. The product I’m most excited about is The Infused Face Serum, a solid serum stick that works to strengthen your skin barrier, while also smoothing its texture. It’s thanks to a special active ingredient developed by diptyque called Floracera©. According to the brand, it combines the antioxidant properties of jasmine with jojoba wax and can promote rapid regeneration of skin cells. Sign. Me. Up.

tarte Hydrocealer Concealer & Blending Sponge

I love how hydrating this concealer feels, especially as someone whose skin is on the drier side. This formula blends seamlessly into my skin, never creasing under my eyes or around my mouth. It claims to have technology that allows for the formula to last up to 12 hours, which I found to be true. I think what I love most about this concealer is how it moves with my skin and never looks cakey.

LEGIT LASHES Double-Ended Mascara

My lashes are short and stick straight — not the kind of combination that works with just any mascara. Many formulas make my lashes look too clumpy or simply coat it without adding length or curl. (For this reason, I keep a bi-monthly eyelash extension appointment.) I was surprised to find that this formula actually worked with my mini lashes! The mascara features two sides — one for volume and the other for length and curl. I personally love the length and curl side, but both will work wonders on your lashes, no matter how small.

Guards Up Daily Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 35

I am a sunscreen fanatic, but I’m picky when it comes to formulation and texture. This new product from VERSED hits all the marks: It blends seamlessly into my skin without leaving a white cast. It’s made with a non-nano zinc oxide, which is the safest kind of zinc for our bodies and the ocean. And it’s packed with good-for-your-skin ingredients like moringa seed extract and sea fennel extract. And at $21.99, you really couldn’t ask for more.

Saie Really Great Gloss

Gone are the days of the rigid matte lip. Make room on your vanity for lots of hydrating lip glosses that’ll give your pout a youthful radiance with a hint of color. This new lip gloss from Saie looks good and feels great, thanks to ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Coconut Milk, Sunflower Butter, and Grapeseed Oil. It also contains an apple-based exfoliator to keep your lips smooth. Pick from five different shades — my favorite is Chill, a cool, dusty rose.

Hands to Heart Brightening Hand Treatment

We don’t often treat our hands with the same T.L.C. as we do our face, but why aren’t we? We’re constantly using them, washing them, and exposing them to the sun. They deserve the same level of skincare as the rest of our body, if not more. Goldfaden MD’s new hand cream works not only to nourish your skin, but thanks to a combination of niacinamide, glucosamine, and retinol, this treatment will also reduce the appearance of dark spots and fine lines and smooth your skin over time.

Olive & June Sweet & Gracious Polish

We could all use a little more cheer, and what better way to do that than by wearing a cheerful, bright-colored nail polish? I love all of the shades from Olive & June’s new rainbow collection made in collaboration with Zeba, Nabela Noor’s new fashion line.

DeliKate® Recovery Cream

I have been a longtime fan of Kate Somerville’s products. Every single serum, face wash, or moisturizer I’ve tried from her, I’ve fallen in love with — because they actually work! I was so excited when the brand decided to launch a line for those with sensitive skin. Many of us have overdone it with exfoliators and peels over the years (**raises hand**) so it’s nice to rebuild our skin barriers, hydrate, soothe, and repair with this line and specifically this Recovery Cream.

Watermelon Glow PHA +BHA Pore-Tight Toner - Glow Recipe

Glow Recipe’s watermelon products remind me of summer — a refreshing, hydrating burst of moisture delivered straight to my skin. This toner is no different, but in addition to keeping my skin bouncy and dewy, it also gently exfoliates revealing a slightly smoother complexion.

Juicy Tubes - Soft & Shiny Flavored Lip Gloss Color - Lancôme

If you don’t remember gliding a Juicy Tubes lip gloss across your mouth after lunch and smacking your lips before walking into class, congrats, you’re officially younger than me. I have fond memories of buying and obsessing over this nostalgic beauty product when I was a teenager, which is why I’m so excited it’s finally back. Lancome has also added new shades with more pigment — woo hoo!
