Sarah Thornton

The center of my universe growing up was NYC. As I aged, as I traveled and as I meet people along the journey of life, I realized that life did not revolve around a major cosmopolitan area. When you take this into account, not all products are right for all people. Different locals, different needs play into what we bring into our homes. On a business trip to India with my 2 yr old son, I learned a lot about traveling with a child, what products worked and what didn't work. Every summer, we drive West to East and then back again at the end of summer. We visit places across America and camp. Somehow even when I slim down the luggage and stuff - the stuff just grows. As an Editor in the Home Fashion industry, I see way to many press releases that talk about the glories of such and such. The reality is -- hands on experience from others is where truth comes from. My "expertise" are in the areas of children products, toys, crafting, outdoors and travel. I look for quality over quantity. I find I also look at the company as a whole and not just what they make. Company ethics are important to me. They help me make informed decisions.
