Magna-Tiles 100-Piece Clear Colors Set
These are an ‘investment toy’…not the cheapest thingamabobs in the world, but you get a lot of bang for your buck with these super-versatile magnetic building blocks. Magnatiles have a looong lifespan from little to bigger kids. My son and daughter love them equally, so this toy is constantly in play, whether they're adding little cars to make garages or little animals to build pretend zoos.
I started buying Magna Tiles when my daughter was 2. I now have two daughters ages 7 and 10. I am a minimalist and closet organization freak so I clean out our toys regularly. I donate and sell the ones we no longer use. After 8+ years in my home Magna Tiles never makes the cut. It's an excellent investment - it's a mulit-year, unisex building toy that kids can use creatively on their own or in conjunction with all the LOL dolls, Schleich animals and princess figurines we have collected over the years. Buy at least two big sets, but the more the merrier.
Magna-Tiles are - by FAR - the most used "toy" in our home. Our 2-year old boy and 4-year old girl build things separately and play together as well. I have found myself in an empty house being pulled to building with them on my own! What I love most is how creative and engineer-y my kids get with them. They build big structures and little ones, they put figurines or matchbox cars on multi-leveled "castles" and they are sorting through the basic concepts of engineering and supportive structures. SO. AWESOME. We have decided to invest in a few more of these sets so that they can build bigger and more complex things. I love watching their brains work.
Magna -Tiles have to be by far the biggest #1 toy ever! We have 4 kids age 2.5-10.5 and they LOVE these. They consistently play with them on a daily basis. My husband was just saying to me this weekend how this is the only toy we ever need. The options of what to build with these are endless!
Need a gift for a child--any child? Boys and girls both LOVE Magnatiles. They are a fantastic, high-quality toy for pretty much all ages. My kids (now ages 8 & 10) STILL play with their set. They are a bit of an investment, but seriously provide hours, nay, YEARS of enjoyment. Highly recommend (get the 100-piece set!).
Who needs a babysitter when you have magna tiles?? These keep my little ones entertained for hours! They are loved by kids ages 2 to 10+ and foster creativity and spatial skills. They can be a little expensive but this is usually my go-to gift for ages 3-5. I'm not big on toys, but these are worth it.
Pricey but so worth the money...we originally bought one of the smaller 32-piece sets since it was cheaper and we weren't sure how our son would take to them. Fast-forward a year later and he absolutely loves them, first thing he wants to play with and we now have several sets that we've either purchased or have been gifts.
This is a toy kids can continue to enjoy from age to age. They are durable and well made and extension packs are available. Because they are magnetic, it makes it easy for smaller children to build with them but there's no limit to what they can create, making it a great toy for all ages. **Bonus: not messy!
We don't have room to mess around with toys that don't deliver. And these deliver. When space is an issue it makes you take stock of your inventory and which toys will really stand the test of time. Magnatiles just do. They're not the cheapest but they last through many ages and you can stick them in a bin and store them away for the next kid in line. Win, win and win.
I bought a set of Magnatiles for my 2-year-old nephew. He immediately ripped open the box and started building. He knew what to do with any help and can spend hours playing, building, and destroying, and rebuilding. The whole family got in on the fun helping to create new structures. I love that there are add-on packs with different shapes to continue the fun. Worth the investment for a toy that actually gets used.
