This candle is my favorite. The great thing about diptyque is that their candles always burn straight down so there is never any wax leftover! Baies leaves a suddle lingering smell days after the candle has been blown out. This candle is calming, homey, and is not overpowering. It’s a must in any house/apartment.
Am I BAIS-ic for loving this candle (please don't judge me!). This candle has the perfect amount of scent load and, I think, it works for any room in the house. I am so tired of nice candles that don't have a strong enough scent or candles that give me a headache because they are so heavily-perfumed. This one is just right.
Okay, totally crazy to spend $65 on a candle, right?! The value only depreciates! You can get a candle for $20! I've heard it all, but Diptyque's Baies continues to stay in my apartment for special occasions. Special occasions that are more like my Friday night in, a bath with wine in hand, etc. This candle smells like "self care" is supposed to feel. It's comforting and romantic (without the romantic partner needed). I use it judiciously so that it ends up lasting about a year, and then I'm always ready to buy a fresh one so that I have a candle to look forward to lighting.
Ok $325 might seem like a lot of money for a candle but this candle lasts forever and looks amazing on a coffee table. It's BIG, like really BIG. The smell is heavenly and fills an entire room. This is my go to hostess gift as well. Like weekend house guest gift not dinner party guest...its always such a big hit and I get invited back again and again :) It's expensive but worth it.
